Organized in 1856, Old Town Fire Rescue remains one of the busiest career fire departments in Penobscot County. Old Town Fire Rescue is an all-hazards response agency covering over 300 square miles with a typical call volume of 2,000+. The department is comprised of 24 members working a rotating 24-hour schedule and the Fire Chief available during the week.
