Property Watch Program
Property Watch Information
The following information can be used as a guide to assist you with the information that we are looking for when you call to request a Property Watch:
The Old Town Police Department offers the Property Watch Program to help reduce property crime and keep your home or property safe while you’re away. This program allows residents to share information about their property with the Police Department during extended absences.
If you will be away from your home or property for an extended period, you can initiate a Property Watch by:
- Calling the Penobscot Regional Communications Center at (207) 945-4636
There is no charge for this service. Officers from the Patrol Division will check your property at varying times throughout the day—sometimes multiple times per day—to ensure it remains secure and to avoid predictable patterns.
Important: Remember to contact the Penobscot Regional Communications Center when you return to cancel your Property Watch. This ensures officers do not continue checking your property unnecessarily, preventing any disruptions.
