Concealed Carry Permits

The Old Town Police Department issues Concealed Weapons Permits to eligible residents of the Old Town community.

To apply, please complete the Concealed Weapons Permit application using the link below. Once the application is completed, submit payment at Old Town City Hall. The required fee is listed on the application.

After payment, bring the completed application packet and your receipt to the Old Town Police Department. An officer will review the application with you and ensure the packet is complete. The department will then process the application and contact you once a decision has been made.

If approved, the permit is valid for four (4) years. Permit holders will receive a Concealed Carry Card that includes a photograph.

**AS OF SEPTEMBER 24, 2025, THE STATE OF MAINE HAS INCREASED RATES. NEW PERMITS WILL COST $50.00. RENEWAL PERMITS WILL COST $35.00**
